Well, everyone has heard that April was the warmest month on record for our “green isle”, i.e. Britain. But to really get the point across, consider Iceland. Until this April, the warmest temperature ever recorded was 41 Farenheit – this year April delivered a record high of 73 Farenheit!!! What’s my point? Humaity is going to be forced to migrate into the upper reaches of the Northern Hemisphere, o places like Canada, Russian and the Scandinavian countries are going to find themselves popular destinations in the future – and maybe not to their liking! Hmmmm….
Believe in climate change or not…consider this…

Scotland…the Green?

Nope. This is not a political homage to the “Green” party of Scotland. It IS a thought for Scotland’s politicians and businessmen about the future of the country’s economy in the coming “post-petroleum” age, however. Presently, Scotland is the leader in Europe in green energy development. It won’t last for long though, as countries like Portugal and Norway are poised to surpass the heathered nation. All the hard work and innovation created with at best marginal assistance from government bodies and the few private investors willing to believe in the future are about to be lost…more importantly, where will Scotland go without the underpinnings of the petroleum dollar? Its youth, as ever will vote with their feet and migrate, particularly those with the most “get up and go”…
